Loading and unloading help
Maybe the truck is already booked, or a pod is parked in your driveway, and all that is missing is the labor to fill it. We send our W-2 crew out by the hour to load or unload a rental truck, pod, or shipping container, fast but careful. The driving and the storage stay in your hands; the lifting comes to us.
What the crew handles
A rental loaded well comes down to a few principles, and we arrive carrying the dollies, straps, pads, and years of practice. The one thing you supply is the vehicle.
- Bulky boxy items go on first, the weight set over the axle for a steady haul
- Every piece padded and tied down so nothing shifts on I-40 or the I-26 grade
- At the far end, carried up a tall historic staircase or a ridge cabin porch
- Each piece set in its room, runners down and doorframes shielded so the old place keeps its deposit
- A storage unit stacked clever enough to swallow the whole load
We tier and tie it so your dresser is not riding on the lamps halfway up the I-40 grade. A load built by a crew that does this daily packs tighter and unpacks faster than anything thrown together in a hurry.
Who books us
Most often it is a rented truck or pod wanting hands at one end or both. Some folks drive themselves and have no appetite for the three-story Montford staircase; others have a West Asheville pod to pack tight for the mountain grades. Plenty of calls cover a single end, just the loading or just the unloading.

How the hours work
Billing is by the hour, $130/hr for two movers, on a three-hour minimum. Before anyone touches a box you get an honest read on the hours, and the meter holds until the crew is genuinely working, not from the second a truck leaves our yard. The count never gets padded.
Loaded to ride safe
On the carry we put down runners and shield the doorframes so your old place keeps its deposit. It is the same Open Box crew and the same care, just scaled to the one part of the move you actually want help with.
